In reflecting over the past few weeks, I find it amazing that I have learned so much.
I'm using a couple of the tools. The RSS feeds are a great way to keep up-to-date and to have information that you are personally interested in put in front of you. In my personal life I am on the lookout for vegan and raw food recipes. I don't remember to go looking for these, so I like the feeds.
I like the idea of Flickr and hope that we could take pics of a stack of travel books or a shelf area of travel books. We could post them on our website to publicize our first neighborhood. We could take shots of our newly expanded YSD.
Facebook is a neat way to interact with others. I'm hoping to find some of my colleagues there and exchange ideas.
Google docs has been a good way to share info and to invite others to have input. The calendar has been useful in knowing when others are busy or when events are taking place within the library.
The browser tools were fun to play around with.
My favorite week was LibraryThing. I can organize what I have read and what I would like to read. I receive recommendations on things I would like to read. I can see what attracted others to read particular books. I can express my opinions.
Yes, I would like to continue with the 2nd semester.
The process has worked pretty well. Sometimes I have needed to ask questions. The good thing is that I felt comfortable with asking and that I received help.
The incentive I am most interested in is LibraryThing for a lifetime.
